Amir Hossain Amu arrested

Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested Awami League presidium member and former minister Amir Hossain Amu.

He was arrested from Dhanmondi area in the capital on Wednesday (November 6).

Rezaul Karim Mallik, chief of the DB of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), confirmed the arrest.

The DB chief said that Amu is wanted in several murder cases. He will be produced before a court and remand petition will be filed after showing him arrested in one of the cases.
