Interim govt’s tenure being fixed, getting legal framework 

The interim government headed by Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus is being brought under a legal framework. 

The Advisory Council has already given the final approval to the draft of the ‘Interim Government Ordinance, 2024’. If the ordinance is issued, the current interim government will not be declared invalid by raising any question of its legality in the court. 

According to the draft of the Ordinance, the government’s term will be until the new Prime Minister takes office after the 13th National Parliament election.

The ranks of the Chief Advisor and Advisors will remain the same as the abolished caretaker government.
