Bangladesh will decide after reviewing Trump’s steps

Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain has said Bangladesh will decide after reviewing the steps of the newly-elected US President Donald Trump. 

The adviser said this while talking to journalists at his office on Thursday.

There will not be a significant shift in the United States policy towards Bangladesh under Donald Trump's administration compared to the current Biden's government, he said.

Touhid underscored that Bangladesh-US ties are not determined solely by the political party in power in Washington.

“The issues we have been discussing with the Biden administration were essentially a continuation from the previous Trump administration,” he said, indicating a likely stability in bilateral relations.
