191 BGB platoons deployed across country

191 platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) have been deployed across the country including the capital city of Dhaka to maintain the law and order situation.

This information was provided in a message by BGB Headquarters on Sunday (November 10) morning.

Former prime minister Sheikh Hasina left the country and took shelter in India after being ousted by a student and public uprising on August 5. Since then, the Awami League has not held any public activities.

However, for Noor Hossain Day, they have called on leaders and supporters to gather at Gulistan’s Zero Point for a march at 3pm.

They announced the event on the party’s Facebook page.

In response, the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement has announced holding mass gathering on the same spot to oppose the Awami League’s event.

Under these circumstances, 191 platoons of BGB have been deployed across the country including the capital city of Dhaka.
