Police set up checkposts at Dhaka`s entry point Savar

Police have set up checkposts at several key points in Dhaka and conducting searches on Dhaka-bound transports.

The law enforcers started searches last night (November 9) at Dhaka-Aricha highway’s Amin Bazar and Bipaile of Nabinagar-Chandra highway.

Police said that they are working to ensure the security of people. To avoid any untoward incidents, such drive is being conducted.

Tension mounted after the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement announced a rally to counter programmes announced by Awami League marking the Shaheed Noor Hossain Day at Zero Point at Gulistan in the capital.
