Ex-MP Dhirendra Debnath put on 6-day remand

Ex-MP Dhirendra Debnath put on 6-day remand court in Dhaka has placed Former Awami League lawmaker Dhirendra Debnath Shambhu, on a six-day remand in connection with a murder case.

Dhaka metropolitan magistrate Shariful Rahman passed the remand on Tuesday (November 12).

DB police Ramna Zonal team Inspector Jahangir Arif produced him before the court seeking 10-day remand.

Earlier, police arrested him from Uttara area of the capital 9:00pm on November 11.

There are multiple cases filed against Shambhu over attacks on protesters during the July-August student-led mass uprising.
