Ex-BCL leader hacked to death in Rajbari

Miscreants hacked a ward committee secretary of the banned organisation Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) to death in Rajbari on Tuesday night (November 12).

The deceased was known as Tanvir Mia, 22, son of Babu Sikder. He was former BCL leader of Rajbari municipal ward number 3.

Locals said miscreants attacked him around 9:00pm with lethal weapons, leaving him critically injured. Later, he was taken to Rajbari Sadar hospital and shifted to Faridpur Medical College. But he died on the way to hospital.

Rajbari Sadar police station OC Md Mahmudur Rahman said previous enmity would be the reason behind the murder. Police is underway to arrest the killers.
