Permanent travel ban imposed on Taqsem A Khan

A Dhaka court has imposed a travel ban permanently on Taqsem A Khan, the former managing director of Dhaka Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (WASA), in connection with ongoing corruption allegations against him.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain passed the order on Wednesday, following a petition by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

ACC’s court inspector Amir Hossain confirmed the matter.

ACC public prosecutor presented the petition on behalf of the commission, which argued that Taqsem was attempting to flee the country, and requested the travel ban permanently to prevent his departure.

Earlier, a Dhaka court imposed a 60-day travel ban on Taqsem A Khan.
