Expatriate doctor stabbed to death

An expatriate doctor was stabbed to death by robbers in Dhanmandi on Thursday night (November 14).

The deceased was known as AKM Abdur Rashid, 85.

Sources said the victim arrived in Dhaka in September. His wife Sufia Rashid is also a doctor. A group of robbers stormed into their flat yesterday night and attacked them, leaving Abdur Rashid and his wife injured critically. Later, they were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the duty doctor declared him dead.

Dhaka Medical College Hospital police camp In-charge Md Faruk said the body was kept at the hospital morgue.
