Throat-silt bodies of two children recovered, father injured

Throat-silt bodies of two children have been recovered from the capital’s Pallabi area, and their father has been found injured.

The injured father was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment at around 1:30 pm on Saturday (November 16). 

Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Pallabi Police Station Abdul Hai confirmed the matter. 

He said, “We initially suspect that father Ahad, 40, tried to commit suicide after he had slaughtered his two children with a knife. We are investigating the matter.” 

He also said that the man has been admitted to the hospital’s ENT department. Quoting a doctor, he said that his condition is critical. 

The deceased are Rohan, 7, and Musa, 3.
