Default loans surpass Tk 285000cr

Default loans in the banking system surpassed Tk 285000 crore, according to the updated data from Bangladesh Bank.

At the end of September this year, bad loans in the sector climbed to Tk 284,997 crore, which accounts for 16.93 percent of the total disbursed loans of Tk 1,682,821 crore.

The information was revealed in an updated report of Bangladesh Bank.

Defaulted loans increased by Tk 73,586 crore in the three months from July to September this year, Bangladesh Bank data showed.
