Students block road, rail line in Mohakhali

Students at Government Titumir College have blocked the road and the rail line in Dhaka’s Mohakhali to demand the college be transformed into a university.

Around 2,000 students brought out a rally around 11:00am on Monday (November 18). Later, they took position at Mohakhali rail crossing area around 11:30 am.

Bangladesh Railway control room said two intercity trains were halted in Mohakhali area due to the students strike.

Md Jahangir Sani, a convener of the movement said that failing to get any response from the administration, we have launched the movement. Our movement will continue till 4:00pm today.
