Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has said there is no possible security threat over the celebration of upcoming Victory Day. Adequate security measures have been taken so that everyone can celebrate the day spontaneously and no incidents of sabotage occur.
The adviser said this while talking to newsmen after a meeting on the overall security measures and the law-order situation ahead of Victory Day at the conference room of the ministry on Monday.
Senior officials of law enforcement agencies were present in the meeting.
The home adviser also asked all concerned to take necessary measures to ensure smooth vehicular movement on Victory Day.
He said the colour and shape of the national flag should not be different from one place to another.
To mark the day, all concerned have been requested to conduct meetings maintaining guidelines and standards set by the government, he added.
