Former food minister Qamrul Islam arrested

Police arrested former food minister Qamrul Islam from Dhaka’s Uttara on Monday night (November 18).
Mohammad Talebur Rahman, the deputy commissioner of the DMP’s Media Wing, confirmed matter.
He said that the former food minister was arrested from Uttara sector-12. After the arrest, he was taken to DB office in Minto road. He will be produced before the court on Tuesday (November 19) with remand plea.
The former lawmaker from Dhaka-2 constituency went into hiding after the fall of Sheikh Hasina government on August 5.
