Ex-minister Qamrul Islam placed on 6-day remand

A court has placed former food minister Qamrul Islam, on a six-day remand in a case lodged over the murder of a trader in Nilkhet.
Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ziadur Rahman passed the order on Tuesday (November 19).
Earlier, Investigation Officer Md Jahangir Arif, an inspector of Detective Branch of Police, produced him before the court with a 10-day remand prayer.
On Monday night, DB Police arrested former food minister Qamrul Islam from Dhaka’s Uttara.
