Titumir College students suspend their protest for one week

Students of Government Titumir College have suspended their protest for one week. 

The announcement came on Tuesday night after receiving an assurance from the government that a committee will be formed to assess the feasibility of converting the college into a university.

The committee will submit its report within seven working days. 

A two-and-a-half-hour meeting was held with a delegation of 14 members from the Government Titumir College.

Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Adviser Md. Nahid Islam was also present. 

The 14-member delegation includes Mahmud Hasan Muktar, Mosharraf Rabbi, Newek Noor Mohammad, Abdul Hamid, Nuruddin Jisan, Matiur Rahman Joy, Jahangir Sunny, Mehedi Hasan Mal, Aminul Islam, Mohammad Bellal, Al Noman Nirab, Habibullah Roni, Towaha and Kausar.
