Former MP Jakob put on 3-day remand

A Dhaka court has placed former Bhola-4 MP Abdullah Al Jakob on a three-day remand in connection with a murder case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Imran Ahmed passed the order on Wednesday (November 20).
Earlier, Sub-Inspector Mamun Mia, the investigation officer, of the case produced him before the court seeking 10 days of remand.
On October 1, police arrested him from Gulshan on October 1. On the same day, he was remanded for seven days in an attempted murder case.
According to the case statement, Shamim Howladar was shot in the Rupnagar area during the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement on July 20. He succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital. Later, the case was filed with Rupnagar police station.
