Bangladesh records 11 dengue deaths in 24 hrs

11 more people have died from dengue in the last 24 hours till this morning (24 November), marking the highest single-day death toll this year.

During the period, 1079 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country.

The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) confirmed the matter on Sunday (November 24).

With these new deaths and cases, the total number of dengue fatalities this year has risen to 459.

Last year, 1,705 people lost their lives due to dengue, making it the deadliest year on record.
