Bangladesh receives $172cr in remittance in 23-day of Nov

Remittances rose again in November as incoming deposits from expatriate workers strengthened once again.
Expatriate Bangladeshis sent around 172.63 crore US dollar in remittances during the first 23 days of November in the fiscal 2024-25.
The country received 7.50 crore US dollar on average per day, according to Bangladesh Bank data released on Sunday (November 24).
Of this, remittances through state-owned and specialized banks accounted for 63.99 crore US dollar, while private banks received 95.13 crore US dollar and foreign sectors received 40.80 crore USD.
