The government will appeal the High Court's recent order to ban battery-run rickshaws in Dhaka, said chief adviser’s deputy press secretary Abul Kalam Azad.
The press secretary revealed the matter in a press conference on Sunday (November 24).
He said that the government has decided to appeal the High Court's order to ban battery-operated rickshaws in the Supreme Court. We are hopeful that the Supreme Court will give a positive decision on this matter.
In reply to another question, he said the matter is now in court. The government wants a solution through legal process.
Chief adviser’s press secretary Shafiqul Alam, deputy press secretary Apurba Jahangir, assistant press secretary Suchismita Tithi attended the press conference.
