Autorickshaw drivers to join a meeting with DMP

The autorickshaw drivers are going to join a meeting with the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) to press their demand including obtaining licenses and reasonable route permits from the BRTA.

The meeting is scheduled to start around 11:00 am on Monday (November 25).

Autorickshaw drivers have announced a mass rally at Shaheed Minar on February 4 if the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) does not issue them licenses within two months.

Earlier on Sunday (November 24), drivers of autorickshaws took to several streets of Dhaka to press home their 11-point demand, including obtaining licences from the Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) to operate on city streets.
