Death of three students is rumor: DMRC authority

Death of three students of Dr Mahbubur Rahman Mollah College (DMRC) is a rumor.  

Students of Kabi Nazrul Government College and Government Shahid Suhrawardy College carried out an attack and vandalized Dr Mahbubur Rahman Mollah College (DMRC) at Demra in the capital’s Jatrabari area. 

DMRC authority said no student died in the attack.

Abdullah Al Manik, a teacher at the English department of Molla College, gave this information on Monday (November 26) afternoon. 

He said, “No student from any college has died. We have no information about deaths. If they die, where are those bodies? A rumor is being spread.”

Some other teachers of the college said the same thing. 

However, Shahriar Fahad, a student of Molla College, claimed that three of his classmates have died. But, he could not give the names of the deceased.

During the attack, several students got stuck inside the Mollah College building. On information, army personnel rushed to the spot to rescue those stranded inside the college. 

The attacking students launched the vandalism and attack on the college around 12:30 pm on Monday (November 25) and looted various things including books, chairs and tables. Several students injured in the attack were seen taking to hospital nearby.
