Attack on DMRC: Case filed against 8,000 students

A case has been filed against 8000 students in connection with the attack on Dr Mahbubur Rahman Mollah College (DMRC).
Students of Kabi Nazrul Government College and Government Shahid Suhrawardy College carried out the attack and vandalized Dr Mahbubur Rahman Mollah College (DMRC) at Demra in the capital’s Jatrabari area.
Sub Inspector of Sutrapur Thana AKM Mahmudul Kabir filed the case on Monday.
The court of Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ziadur Rahman accepted it. The court ordered to submit the report by December 24.
During the attack, several students got stuck inside the Mollah College building. On information, army personnel rushed to the spot to rescue those stranded inside the college.
The attacking students launched the vandalism and attack on the college around 12:30 pm on Monday (November 25) and looted various things including books, chairs and tables. Several students injured in the attack were seen taking to hospital nearby.
