A truck hit the private car that carried earlier Sarjis Alam and Hasnat Abdullah, two key organisers of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, on Wednesday evening.
The incident took place at around 7:30pm in Chunti area of Lohagara upazila of Chattogram. But they were not at the car when the incident took place.
Again within only a day, a vehicle hit Hasnat Abdullah’s car from behind on Thursday. Hasnat was unharmed in the crash.
Hasnat Abdullah told media that a truck hit his car at Matuail in the capital. Later, a mini-truck hit his car in the capital’s Gulistan area, damaging it.
Nobody was hurt in the incident, but student protest leaders alleged it was an assassination attempt.
“Assassination attempts will not deter them in their efforts to rebuild the country,” the student leaders said.
Abdul Hannan Masud, an organisers of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, disclosed it at his Facebook page.
