Directive to ensure security of all courts, lawyers 

Chief Justice Dr. Syed Refat Ahmed has directed to ensure overall security of country’s all courts, including the Supreme Court, judges' courtrooms and residences, and lawyers.

Supreme Court Public Relations Officer Md. Shafiqul Islam gave this information on Friday (November 29).

A notification signed by Registrar General of the Supreme Court Dr. Aziz Ahmed Bhuiyan said, the Chief Justice of Bangladesh is deeply concerned about the unprecedented and undesirable events that have recently taken place on the premises of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and some other district courts of the country.

With the assistance of law enforcement agencies, it has directed all concerned to take necessary steps to ensure the overall security of all courts, courtrooms, judges’ residences, judges’ vehicles, judges and employees.

The notification has directed all concerned to take all necessary steps immediately in this regard.
