Remark achieves fastest GMP Certification 

Remark HB, an affiliate of Remark LLC USA, has added another distinguished achievement to its list of successes. 

The company has earned the prestigious Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certification in record time, setting a new benchmark in Bangladesh’s history. 

Furthermore, Remark has secured approval for export orders to the USA and the Philippines, granted by the esteemed Director of Remark-Herlan’s International Business Division, Megastar Shakib Khan. 

To celebrate the GMP certification and export order approvals, Remark hosted a grand event on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at a five-star hotel in the capital. 

The event was attended by Remark Fulfillment’s CEO, Md. Amdadul Hoque Sarker, Director of Operations at Remark HB, Alamgir Alam Sarkar, General Secretary of the Association of Skin Care and Beauty Products Manufacturers and Exporters Bangladesh (ASBMB), Jamal Uddin, renowned actors Mamnun Hasan Emon, Siam Ahmed, popular musician Tahsan Khan, along with members of the Remark family.

In a video message, SM Ferdous Alam, Director General of BSTI, expressed, “I had the privilege of visiting Remark's manufacturing plant recently with a BSTI delegation. I was thoroughly impressed by their state-of-the-art facilities. This significant achievement brings me great satisfaction, and I am confident that with the GMP certification, Remark will continue to reach new milestones and further elevate the global image of Bangladesh.”

Mega Star Shakib Khan, Director of Remark-Herlan, remarked, “Today marks a significant milestone for us. Remark has achieved this prestigious GMP certification in the shortest time, fully complying with all required standards. This accomplishment is not only a major achievement for our company but also for the nation. As the Director of Remark-Herlan, I take great pride in this success. Remark-Herlan is poised to reduce imports and enhance Bangladesh’s standing in the export market, thereby contributing to the nation’s foreign exchange reserves. The GMP certification will be a key driver in realizing these objectives."

He further added, "Remark’s swift attainment of GMP certification has positioned Bangladesh as a leader in South Asia’s cosmetics industry. I believe Bangladesh will not only lead the South Asian market but also emerge as a global leader in the cosmetics sector. That day is fast approaching."

Shakib Khan also shared, "We have successfully secured export orders from the USA and the Philippines, and today, we are officially approving these orders. This marks a significant milestone for Bangladesh in the global cosmetics and skincare industry. Remark is creating employment opportunities for millions, and our products will soon be used by consumers worldwide. This achievement brings immense joy. What began as an idea with me has now grown into a reality, and today, I am truly moved by this accomplishment."

Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is a rigorous system designed to ensure that products are consistently produced and controlled in accordance with established quality standards. Companies that adhere to these standards are eligible to attain the prestigious GMP certification. Since its inception, Remark has been dedicated to using premium-grade ingredients and operating in the cleanest, most environmentally sustainable facilities, equipped with advanced technology. Remark has now achieved GMP certification in record time, setting a new benchmark within the industry. GMP certification is a crucial requirement in Europe and other Western markets for the production and distribution of cosmetic products. As a result, Remark’s products manufactured in Bangladesh will be better positioned to compete in the global export market.

Remark’s Managing Director, Ashraful Ambia, expressed, "This achievement marks a proud moment for Bangladesh, as it signifies a major advancement in the nation’s cosmetics industry. Jamal Uddin, General Secretary of the Association of Skin Care and Beauty Products Manufacturers and Exporters Bangladesh (ASBMB), commended Remark's technical expertise, stating, "Remark has set a benchmark in the industry by producing products utilizing advanced technology. As a valued member of our association, we take great pride in their achievement. I am confident that Remark will continue to thrive with its professionalism, and Bangladesh will soon emerge as a dominant force in the global cosmetics and skincare market. This growth will undoubtedly make a significant contribution to the nation’s economy."

Prominent dermatologist Dr. Sharmina Haque expressed her pride in Remark’s achievement, stating, "Remark’s commitment to adhering to international protocols and producing authentic, high-quality products represents a significant advancement in skincare protection for the people of Bangladesh. We take great pride in Remark's ongoing dedication to delivering genuine products, and this certification further reinforces their efforts in combating counterfeit and substandard alternatives."

Dr. Yazdan Reza Chowdhury, a renowned physician, commented, "With this accomplishment, Remark has taken a major step toward establishing Bangladesh as a global leader in cosmetics production. I am optimistic that one day, Bangladesh will be recognized as the world’s foremost producer of cosmetics."

Popular musician Tahsan expressed his pride, stating, "Remark-Herlan is producing world-class products, and it fills me with pride to witness such excellence being created in our own country. I firmly believe that Bangladesh will one day lead the global cosmetics industry, with Remark-Herlan standing as a symbol of our nation's achievement."

Actor Siam Ahmed also highlighted the significance of the GMP certification, saying, "Securing the GMP certification demonstrates that Bangladesh is emerging as a key player in the global cosmetics market. We are now competing at the highest level, and this is a moment of immense pride for all of us. I extend my gratitude to everyone who contributed to this remarkable achievement."

The glamorous event was graced by a distinguished array of celebrities from various fields, including renowned cricketer Khaled Mahmud Sujon and senior officials from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), Asiful Bilash and Saiful Amin. 

The event also saw the presence of prominent actors such as Puja Chery, Konal, Mim Mantasha, Rukaiya Jahan Chamak, Irfan Sajjad, Prarthana Fardin Dighi, Samonty Shoumi, Tahiya Tazeen Khan Aisha, Nabila Islam, and Sarika Sabah, along with esteemed personalities from the media and music industries.
