Khandaker Mosharraf acquitted in graft case

A Dhaka court here discharged BNP Standing Committee Member Dr Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain from a corruption case filed with the capital’s Ramna Model Police Station in 2008.

Judge Md Manjurul Hossain of Dhaka Special Judge Court-8 delivered the verdict on Sunday (December 1) in presence of Dr Mosharraf as the charges brought against him were not proved.

According to the case statement, the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) filed the case on January 10, 2008, for amassing illegal wealth and concealing information of the properties.

The anti-graft body filed charge-sheet on September 17, 2008.
