Govt to adjust gas prices today

The price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for December will be announced on Tuesday (December 3).

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) will announce the decision around 3:00 pm.

In a statement, BERC said that the new prices would be determined based on the Saudi Contract Price (CP) for December 2024, as declared by Saudi Aramco.

Gas prices increased in the first three months of this year. Then, gas prices decreased in the three months of April, May, and June. Then the gas prices have been increased again for four consecutive months.

For November, the price of a 12kg LPG cylinder was reduced by Tk 1, setting the cost at Tk 1,455.
