Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus will hold a dialogue with the leaders of major political parties and religious leaders in a bid to call for national unity.
As part of the initiative, the chief adviser will hold talks with the political leaders on Wednesday (December 4). He will sit with religious leaders on Thursday.
Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said this at a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy on Tuesday evening.
“The main aim of the two meetings is forging national unity. He (the chief adviser) will call for national unity,” Alam added.
The chief adviser is holding a meeting with the student leaders this evening at the State Guest House Jamuna, he said.
About the importance of the national unity, the press secretary said the unity is very important now as the Indian media is deliberately carrying out a misinformation campaign against Bangladesh.
