Govt suspends consular services in Agartala mission

The interim government of Bangladesh has decided to suspend all visa and consular services following an attack on Bangladesh’s Assistant High Commission in Agartala, the capital of India’s northeastern state of Tripura.

The decision comes following the attack on Bangladesh mission in Agartala on Monday (December 2).

All visa and consular services at the Bangladesh Assistant High Commission in Agartala will remain suspended given the current situation until further notice, according to a notification issued on Tuesday (December 3), signed by First Secretary of the commission Md Al-Amin.
