Amu, Qamrul produced before ICT in genocide case

Amir Hossain Amu and Qamrul Islam were produced before the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) on Wednesday (4 December) in connection with charges of crimes against humanity and genocide during the July-August mass uprising.
They were brought to the tribunal premises around 10:15AM.
Earlier, on December 2, the ICT directed the relevant authorities to produce Qamrul Islam and Amir Hossain Amu before the court on Wednesday.
On November 6, Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police arrested Amir Hossain Amu, the food minister, from Dhanmondi area in the capital, while on November 18, DB detained Qamrul Islam from Uttara area.
