Good news coming within one or two days: Jamaat Ameer

Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has said his party will work with the government to prevent propaganda.

The Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer said this while talking to journalists after participating in a dialogue with the chief adviser at the Foreign Service Academy on Wednesday. 

“We will work with the government to prevent the propaganda. We will not fall into anyone’s trap. We will not bow down to anyone, nor will we cross the line. I hope we will get good news within one or two days”, he said.

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman said, “There is no compromise on the issue of the country's sovereignty. We are united to confront all conspiracies”. 

He said, “Currently, India’s role is intolerant. We hate extremism from wherever it comes. If we remain good, they will also remain good. If we do not remain good, how will they remain good?”.

The chief adviser held a dialogue with the leaders of major political parties in a bid to call for national unity. 

BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami and some other political parties participated in the dialogue.

The meeting began at 4:00pm at the Foreign Service Academy.
