Govt issues ban on broadcast of Hasina`s `hate speech`

The International Criminal Tribunal on Thursday (December 5) issued a ban on the broadcast of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's 'hate speech' in media and social platforms.

The authority has already directed the Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) to remove her hate speeches from media and social networking sites.

A three-member bench of the tribunal led by Chairman Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder passed the order.

Earlier, the prosecution team filed a petition with the International Crime Tribunal (ICT) seeking a ban on the hate speech of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
