Dhaka-Delhi FOC underway at Padma

The Foreign Office Consultation (FOC) between Dhaka and Delhi under the leadership of Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Jashim Uddin and Indian External Affairs Secretary Vikram Misri is underway.
The meeting began at 11:00am on Monday (December 9) at the State Guest House Padma.
The meeting is focused on key bilateral issues, including trade, visa policies, connectivity, border killings, water-sharing, and other matters of mutual interest.
Indian External Affairs Secretary Vikram Misri, who arrived in Dhaka at 9:00 am, is participating in the first high-level diplomatic engagement between India and Bangladesh following the recent political changes in Bangladesh.
After the FOC, Misri is scheduled to attend a luncheon and meet Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus and Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain for courtesy calls.
Later in the day, he will hold further discussions with the Chief Adviser at the State Guest House Jamuna.
Vikram Misri is scheduled to depart Dhaka tonight.
