BFIU seeks bank details of Hasina, Rehana

The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) has asked banks to provide account details of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina and her younger sister Sheikh Rehana.

The central bank sent a letter to all banks across the country and financial institutes in this regard on Monday (December 9).

A top official of BFIU confirmed the matter on Tuesday.

The BFIU has also sought information on the bank accounts of the 'Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Trust'.
