West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has again talked about Bangladesh. She has said, “Some fake videos on the persecution of minorities are being spread”.
Mamata Banerjee made the comment while visiting the construction of a Jagannath Temple in Digha, modelled after the iconic shrine in Odisha's Puri, on Wednesday.
Mamata said, “Some fake videos are being spread. The Indian government sent a representative, it is the responsibility for the Indian government to see the matter; it is not for me to see.”
Regarding visa, Mamata said, “I have heard that more Indians will get visa in Bangladesh. Our people should also be brought back who want to come”.
“I have said this before. This is a matter for the government of India, not the government of West Bengal”, he said.
About the bilateral relations, Mamata said, “Don't ask me about this again and again. The whole issue is being misled and taken to the level of communal riots”.
