16 RAB members detained since Aug 5: DG

Sixteen members of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have been detained so far for their alleged involvement in various crimes since the change of government on August 5.
The Director General (DG) of the force, Additional IGP AKM Shahidur Rahman made the statement during a press conference at the RAB Media Centre in the capital’s Karwan Bazar on Thursday (December 12).
The RAB DG stated that: “There are allegations of forced disappearance and killing such as Narayanganj seven murder against the force. We seek apology to all on those matters.”
