DU limits vehicular movement after afternoon

The Dhaka University authorities have announced that the movement of all types of vehicles will be restricted on the campus from 5 pm to 10 pm every day.

During this time, only vehicles with university stickers and vehicles of some emergency services will be allowed to enter. On holidays, entry will be limited from 3 pm.

The university’s proctor office issued a notice in this regard on Saturday (December 14).

According to the notice, no vehicles other than vehicles with Dhaka University stickers and emergency services (ambulances, doctors, patients, journalists and other government vehicles) will be allowed to enter the campus from 3 pm to 10 pm on Fridays, Saturdays and public holidays and from 5 pm to 10 pm on office days.

Entry of all types of vehicles through seven entrances (Shahbag, Doyel Chattar, Burn Unit, Shibbari Crossing, Fuller Road, Palashi and Nilkhet) will be controlled.

Earlier, traffic movement on the campus was restricted on Friday. Students have expressed their satisfaction at the university's decision.
