Assistant Inspector General of Prisons (Media) Jannat-ul Farhad confirmed the matter on Wednesday (December 16).
He said initially dog squads have been deployed in Keraniganj, Dhaka Central Jail, and Kashimpur Prison Complex from December 14 with the support of the Bangladesh Army.
A dog squad will be deployed at key spots, including the RP Gate and the main gate, as well as the entrances of prisoners, visitors, and officials arriving at the prison. The steps will be implemented gradually in other prisons.
