764 deprived retired officials to get rank, financial benefits

A total of 764 retired officials under the public administration ministry, who were deprived of due ranks and financial benefits over the last 15 years during the Awami League regime, will now be provided with due facilities.

Md Mokhlesur Rahman, Senior Secretary to the Ministry of Public Administration (MOPA) revealed the matter on Sunday (December 16).

Meanwhile, some deprived officials gathered in front of the office of the Senior Secretary of the Ministry.

Mentioning the recommendations of the Committee on 'deprived' officials and the government policy decisions, he said there are some job regulations.

The benefits include ranks and financial compensations as per the recommendations of the review committee… I hope this process will be completed in a short time.

Earlier on December 10, the committee submitted its report to Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus reviewing the applications of retired officials.

The committee recommended promoting 764 retired officials to different ranks.
