Eden College BCL President Riva on remand 

President of Eden Mohila College unit of the banned organisation Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Tamanna Jasmine Riva has been put on a two-day remand.

Detectives arrested her on Sunday night in a case filed with Shahbagh Thana.

Sub-Inspector of DB police Mohammad Masud Sardar, also investigation officer of the case, sought a 10-day remand. 

Riva was a student of the Marketing Department in the 2009-10 academic year. She used to live in the dormitory for a decade.

Despite the ban, many members, including Riva, have been trying to carry out political activities.

According to the sources, Riva left the campus and went into hiding during the July-August student-led mass uprising.
