Earthquake jolts northern region

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4 jolted the country’s northern region on Monday (December 16) night.

The earthquake was felt at 8:10pm, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

The epicentre of the earthquake was near Meghalaya, about 208km away from the capital.

There was no immediate report of casualties or damage.
