Govt to establish ‘July Uprising Directorate’

The government is going to establish ‘July Uprising Directorate’.
This directorate is being set up under the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs to preserve the history and memories of the July Uprising, rehabilitate the families of the martyrs and the injured students and people and establish the ideals and spirit of the uprising at both the state and national levels.
The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs took the decision during its inter-ministerial meeting held on Wednesday with its Adviser Farooq-E-Azam in the chair.
Representatives from various ministries including the Cabinet Division, Ministry of Public Administration, Ministry of Finance, Law and Justice Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Public Security Division, Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Health Services Division, Health Education and Family Welfare Division, Local Government Division, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Social Welfare, Ministry of Housing and Public Works, Ministry of Youth and Sports and Ministry of Cultural Affairs were present at the meeting.
Israt Chowdhury, secretary of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, and other senior officials participated in the meeting.
