Fire at Karail slum

A fire broke out at the Boubazar slum in the capital’s Karail area on Wednesday afternoon.

Being informed, seven units of the fire service rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control at around 5.12pm. 

Rakibul Islam, duty officer of the fire service control room, said that after receiving the news of the fire, seven units of the fire service and civil defense started working to control the fire. However, due to traffic congestion on the road, it was difficult to reach the spot.

The fire service official was initially unable to provide any information about the cause of the fire and casualties.
