Dhaka board chairman Tapan Kumar made OSD 

Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Chairman Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar has been removed from his post and made Officer on Special Duty (OSD) of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE).

A notification signed by Rebeka Sultana, deputy secretary of the DSHE of the Ministry of Education, was issued in this regard on Wednesday (December 18).

Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar submitted his resignation on October 21 in the face of protests by students who failed in HSC. 

In the letter, he requested to withdraw him from Dhaka board and post him anywhere else.

However, the ministry did not take any immediate action at that time. 

After around two months, the ministry removed him from the board and made him OSD.
