Sarjis, Hasnath reveal the plan of Dec 24

Members of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement and the National Citizens Committee created a promotion on Facebook centering the upcoming December 31.

Finally, Anti-Discrimination Student Movement leaders disclosed the issue through an emergency press conference in the capital’s Bangla Motor on Sunday (December 29).

In the press meeting, Hasnath Abdullah said that the fascists are plotting abroad because the July Revolution declaration was not made on August 5. That is questioning the legitimacy of the mass uprising.

He also said, “The Mujibist '72 constitution will be buried in the very place where the one-point declaration was made during the July uprising. We will gather at Shaheed Minar on December 31 to declare the people's aspirations for building a new Bangladesh.”

Sarjis Alam, General Secretary of the July Shaheed Smrity Foundation, also Chief Organizer of the National Citizens Committee, said the declaration of revolution should have been made earlier. However, cooperation from various sectors was not received to move the state forward.

“This declaration will serve as a guide for the new leaders who will lead the country. It will reflect the hopes and aspirations of all the people of Bangladesh,” he added.
