Grandmother, granddaughter die N’ganj road crash

A 60-year-old grandmother and her granddaughter were killed when a private car hit an auto-rickshaw in Sonargaon of Narayanganj on Sunday evening (December 29).

The deceased were known Achhia Begum, 60, and her daughter Arthi, 7.

Babul Hossain Rakib, father of Arthi said that on Sunday evening, I received news that my father-in-law, mother-in-law and two daughters were injured in the accident. When I went to the scene, I found that my mother-in-law died on the spot. Later, the injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared my daughter dead.

DMCH police camp in-charge Mohammad Faruk said body of the child was kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
