Qamrul Islam put on 4-day remand

A Dhaka court has placed former food minister Qamrul Islam on four-day remand in two separate cases filed in Kamrangirchar police station.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Belal Hossain passed the order on Wednesday (January 1).
Earlier, investigation officer Kamrangirchar police station sub-inspectors Jahid Hasan and Palash Chandra Das sought 20 days of remand.
On November 18, Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Branch (DB) Police arrested Kamrul Islam from Uttara-12 Sector in the capital.
