Obscene photo on Kamalapur station display board: Shohoz.com staff sacked

The Bangladesh Railway authority has taken legal action against obscene photos displayed on the display board installed for displaying train information at Kamalapur railway station in the capital.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Railways on Wednesday (January 1), Mahfuzur Rahman Nayan, an employee of the private company Shohoz.com, has been temporarily suspended in connection with that unexpected incident.

Besides, the Divisional Railway Manager-Dhaka has formed a three-member investigation committee to inquire the matter. The committee has been directed to submit the probe report within three working days.

On December 28 last, an embarrassing situation was created at Kamalapur railway station when obscene photos were displayed on the digital display board at the station from 2:10 am to 2:35 am.
