All the 267 candidates who were dropped in the final job appointment gazette of the Ministry of Public Administration have gathered at the Bangladesh Secretariat.
They have sought an explanation from the Ministry of Public Administration why they were excluded in the second gazette notification after receiving recommendation from the Public Service Commission (PSC).
The protesting candidates claimed there were not any case filed against them but they were dropped. They also demanded inclusion in the gazette.
The candidates were dropped in two separate notifications issued on October 15 and December 30.
Earlier, on December 26, 2023, the Public Service Commission, under the then fascist Awami League government, recommended total 2,163 candidates for appointment.
Ten months later on October 15, 99 were dropped from the recommendation list. On December 30, another 168 candidates were dropped.
